Dr. Farzad Majidi graduated from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 1993. He pursued his residency training at Harbor hospital affiliated with University of Maryland in Baltimore. During this period he had the opportunity of being mentored by several exceptional cardiologists at Johns Hopkins University which further fueled his passion for Cardiology. He completed his general cardiology fellowship at Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, GA. Thereafter, He went on to pursue a two-year fellowship in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular interventions at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, LA.
He moved to Las Vegas in 2013 and he was the first interventional cardiologist hired by the then newly opened VA hospital in Las Vegas. He had the privilege of serving our veterans and being an adjunct Assistant Professor for cardiology fellowship program of University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He was a recipient of several teaching awards by UNLV cardiology fellowship program.
He is board certified in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology. He is also a Fellow of American College of Cardiology. He has special interest and experience in utilization of radial artery for cardiac catheterization.
When he has time, he enjoys spending it outdoors, biking, skiing and working out at the gym. His idea of a perfect evening is one spent with family and good friends.
